The site of the oldest hotel in Harrogate. Built in 1687 as a coaching inn called the Queen's Head. the building in front was built in 1855 and extended in 1861. the hotel ceased in its original function to become a regional NHS headquarters in 1951 but reopened as a hotel in 1999.
