This blocked-up doorway in Drumdryan Street would have probably once given access to a villa called Drumdryan House* which was walled in, so-to-speak, when the surrounding tenements were built in the late nineteenth century. The house was demolished in 1958. *not to be confused with THE Drumdryan House which stood on the site of the present King's Theatre
