Minor road linking Heathfield to Mayfield and as a consequence a bit of a rat run for those wishing to avoid the longer trip via the A267. The lane begins to climb Knowle Hill at the bend whilst the undergrowth to the right has a blink and you'll miss it entrance to a footpath that heads towards Mayfield via Cranesden.
