In this area the naming of roundabouts has become the fashion. This one is probably named after Daniel Adamson http://www.g4fas.net/Adamson.Stockport.Didsbury.html father of the Manchester Ship Canal. http://www.penninewaterways.co.uk/manchester/shipcanal.htm The canal is a short walk from here.
