Shenstone station was opened in 1884 when the London and North Western Railway extended their line from Birmingham to Sutton Coldfield and northwards to Lichfield. There are trains every 30 minutes in each direction, all day, every day. Typically, these operate between Longbridge and Lichfield City on Mondays to Saturdays, and between Redditch and Lichfield Trent Valley on Sundays. On Saturdays, there is an enhanced service, with trains every 10-20 minutes.
