The photograph on this page of It's open by Sandy Gemmill as part of the Geograph project.
The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

The Heriot Hill Tunnel is now open for bicycles and pedestrians. Previously it was closed Image, and then work began Image and at last it is open.
