The carved sign above the door of this building on the corner of Ilderton Road and Stockholm Road says "Deptford Borough Council - slipper baths". Baths like this were built by local authorities from the 1860s onwards to allow poor people to wash themselves (as distinct from swimming baths). The building is now apparently the home of Shekinah Ministries and Bless You International Ministries.
