Panel 3: This is the first of the roundels and contains a scene which I believe is called the "Pieta" or "Lamentation of Christ" where the recently crucified body of Christ is being cradled by his mother Mary. In the mediaeval "Passion of Christ" this scene came between the "Deposition" (i.e. the removal from the Cross) and the Entombment. As with panels 1 & 2, this glass shows simple bold colours suggesting it is very old glass. Previous panel Image] Next panel Image]
