This postbox is roughly outside what used to be a Hinton Post Office, but that closed down in about April 1969. The box receives its final collection at 4:45 each weekday evening and at noon on Saturdays. Beyond, we look down the A35 Lyndhurst Road towards Christchurch and, more immediately, the thatched Cat & Fiddle inn in the distance; beyond that the lights of the filling station may just be discerned.
