The photograph on this page of New towns are not all new by James Allan as part of the Geograph project.

The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

A "Marriage Lintel" with the initials of husband and wife and 1741 date, presumably that of their marriage. This type of lintel was fairly common in Fife (though not always as ornate as this) and this one, preserved in Stenton area, presumably came from one of the old houses demolished to make way for constructing Glenrothes new town.
