Farmer Jim Kindness explaining to me that the reason why his plough is loaded with boulders is to make sure that the ploughshare cuts deep into the earth. After ploughing this field, he will use another piece of machinery to sow the neep seed. Jim reckons the ground is too dry and is looking forward to some rain for the crops.
