River Ver: Footbridge near Chalkdell Wood

Although this footbridge allows the modern-day Ver-Colne Valley Walk to cross over the Ver there must have been a bridge over the river here for some considerable time, as the Ordnance Survey 6" to the mile map Edition of 1883 shows it and describes it as a "Foot Bridge".
