Station Road, off the main road in Ecclesfield (called The Common), should more correctly be pluralised and called Stations Road ... as Ecclesfield had, not one, but two Stations! Both were located, some miles from the village centre, down this road. One station - the nearest - was on the Midland Railway Line ... the second was, further round the bend and operated by the Great Central Railway. Image
