Maize field near Dromore

There appears to have been a marked increase, over the last three or so years, in the planting of maize for use as winter feed on dairy farms. Growing under plastic (which increases the temperature of the soil and encourages germination) can, it seems, increase yields. This field is at Ednego to the south of Dromore.
