Barns Ness

The lighthouse. Taken with a point and shoot, no polarising filter involved - apparently blue skies are possible in Scotland. The lighthouse was completed in 1901, and the chief engineer for the construction was David Stevenson, the original lighthouse family still going strong. It was automated in 1986 and then decommissioned in 2005.
