View from the junction of Church Lane with the A1122 towards the former airfield at Bexwell. The airfield was important during war time. Located north of St Mary's church some of it still remains today. A wooden memorial plaque > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1262778 to two VC cross holders (Flt Lt Aaron and Sq Ldr Bazalgette) stands on the green adjoining the church and the sign pointing to this memorial is situated by the junction of Church Lane with the A1122, across the road from the disused airfield.
