On green near Eastcliff Parade. Near junction of Beacon Hill Road (behind) and Canterbury Road (on right). It is on the Herne Bay Cultural Trail (No4). Sign on plinth reads 'Sir Barnes Neville Wallis 1887-1979 Scientist, engineer and inventor. Most noted for his invention of the bouncing bomb used in the dambuster raids.
