This modest building in Colliton St which seems to have had the front door bricked up at some time was the residence of John White rector of St Peters Dorchester, and one of the most influential people in the establishment of the state of Massachusetts in the late 1620's. He lived from 1575 until 1648 and is buried in the porch at St Peters.
