The village green, which is fairly small, although it might have been larger at some time, lies at the junction of four old roads: Ladywell Lane, West Lane, the road to St. Michael's Church and the road to the bridge. There are three structures: the Cross Well, the socket stone of the old Market Cross and the War Memorial.
