This 'pre-Worboys' sign - see discussion at http://www.geograph.org.uk/discuss/index.php?&action=vthread&forum=6&topic=9261 - has surprisingly survived the upgrade of the former A296 to a wide dual carriageway (now the A225). The signpost's 4 arms read: A296 London / South Darenth 2 Horton Kirby 3 / Rochester 12 Canterbury 30 A296 / Dartford
