Course of Old Railway, Forestburn Gate

Part of the line of the disused railway between Rothbury and Scots Gap. The passenger service was withdrawn in September 1952 and the line closed in 1963. The 13 mile link from Scots Gap to Rothbury had intermediate stations at Longwitton, Ewesley, Fontburn and Brinkburn. Photograph shows a section looking south west from B6342 road bridge towards Morrelhirst.
