Much of the NW side of Rastrick has been built-up with suburban houses during the late 20C, but this area has been left open. It has houses on three sides and a footpath runs down the other side, on the left of the photo. This path used to be fenced between fields, but is now in open grassland and there is only a faint trace of a beaten track.
