Inside Falkirk Tunnel

Image: © Rob Burke Taken: 4 Apr 2009

This is the inside of Falkirk Tunnel on the Union Canal, near the middle. Lights were installed when the Falkirk Wheel was built, but they have been changed more recently to shine upwards on the roof. The effect is quite striking now. The lower part of the picture is actually a reflection of the side and roof. The shape on the lower right is the handrail that I used to steady the camera.
