There is a reservoir http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1234610 hidden in this picture. The deep valley of the Nant Esgaireira ('snowy ridge') is part of a small Forestry Commission area. Only the upper reaches of this forestry patch are still dense conifer plantations, most of the lower part is more diverse woodland.
