Norfolk Bridge takes Leveson Street across the River Don. It was opened in 1856. Behind Norfolk Bridge is the Midland Railway line which crosses the Don Valley by a series of bridges and viaducts. The railway line opened in 1870 when the Midland Railway moved the passenger station from the Wicker to Sheaf Street.
