This field, and its 'twin' on the opposite side of Mossley Road, is straight and narrow for most of its length but widens out into a circle at the end closest to the viewpoint. Reportedly this design is to help during the lambing season. The stone walls are higher than usual to provide additional shelter from the wind. Image Image Image
