Tarporley Road (B5476) follows the former route of the A49 through Whitchurch; this view is just on the Whitchurch side of the 30 mph limit signs. The junction on the left is the 20th-century housing estate of The Grove (see Image). This part of Tarporley Road has several large red-brick houses, probably of late Victorian or Edwardian date, such as The Laurels on the right with its distinctive circular bay with conical roof.
