The turntable pit, which survives as a relic of steam operations at this depot. At the time of taking this photo the table itself had been removed for maintenance and the workmen in the shot were repairing the trackbed. 47121 stands on the right, on one of the roads that leads to other parts of the depot. Beyond is the light maintenance shed in which 2 Western class 52s await their next turn of duty.
