Glenglassaugh Distillery, near Sandend

Although there are signs of life at this distillery, it has been mothballed since 1986. It belongs to Edrington, the makers of The Famous Grouse. Small quantities of Glenglassaugh single malt is still available from specialist whisky merchants and is highly recommended but expensive due to its rarity.
