This very clever carving has been done in situ on a tree stump near the quarry car park adjacent to the path setting off for a walk in the woods or to climb Kinnoull Hill. Alas there is no record of the talented sculptor. At the summit of the hill is another similar very fine carving of a hawk standing on a tree stump which at first glance appears all too real.
