The only project designed by Ove Arup, a famous Anglo-Danish designer. His design firm, Arup, was also responsible for the Sydney Opera House and the Pompidou Centre. Built in 1932-33, the cafe is said to be based on the bridge of the Queen Mary. It certainly serves up meals fit for a Queen.
