It's a real shame how this once lovely picturesque station is now fenced off with seemingly no access to the public anymore. Once one of the furthest out-posts of the London Underground network closed along with North Weald in September 1994. There was a Sunday steam service for a time, but that's also seemed to die a slow death......... see also Image
