The white stuccoed building was supposed to be the end structure in a graceful terraced Regency Crescent in central Leamington Spa. Then a building slump hit the town and you can see where the money ran out. Only this building and the corresponding structure at the other end of the crescent were completed, leaving a gap that was later filled in by a row of late Victorian villas, one of which is seen adjacent.
