For many years it was assumed that this bridge carrying the former GWR Kemble - Cirencester Town branch had been demolished and culverted after the canal was formally abandoned. More recently however excavations by the police searching for a body (none was found) unearthed the arch visible in the picture showing that it appears to be intact and simply infilled.
