Ghost of The Grange

This housing development is named after The Grange, a Regency/Victorian villa that stood in its own walled grounds until the early 1970s, when it was demolished and the grounds built over. The Grange was only a few hundred yards from Newbold Comyn, another major house levelled for housing. From old pics the original Grange probably stood roughly where the light coloured row of houses in the background are.
