"The one grand classical front in Ashburton, all granite, the ground floor polished, the upper floor left rough; pedimented doors and upper windows". (Cherry & Pevsner). As http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=376018&mode=adv points out, the left-hand doorway has the "original 3-panelled double doors and brass bell-pull". "This was originally the Devon and Cornwall Bank."
