Note the traditional mortar and pestle sign, a well known pharmaceutical symbol, above the far shop window. A more modern mortar and pestle hanging sign is above the near window and one is on the fascia board. There is another traditional mortar and pestle sign outside Aitken Chemists on the same side of the street.
