The sandstone Swinford Bridge was completed across the Thames in 1777. It is privately owned and has a toll for its upkeep. Cars are charged 5p (February 2006) for crossing, larger vehicles slightly more. This view was taken looking northwards across the river on the upstream side of the bridge.
