The Tower of Hallbar

This Tower House was built between the 13th and 16th Centuries. It is four storeys high and fell into ruin in the mid-nineteenth century until saved by Sir Norman Macdonald Lockhart. It was let out and the last tenant didn't leave until 1984. After that it fell into disrepair again until leased to the Vivat Trust who repaired it and allow it to be used as holiday accommodation.
