The 1940s map shows two blue-coloured reservoirs here side by side. The modern 1/25,000 map shows this one as coloured blue but marked as disused, and the other (Hamer Pasture Resr) in outline only. Hamer Pasture Resr was emptied around 1958. Neither are named on the OS maps. View SE from the eastern slopes of Rushy Hill. The houses in the distance are the Smallbridge and Hurstead areas of Rochdale.
