Some form of 'development' seems to be taking place beside the road leading to Cowbridge and the A48. The hedgerow that has been completely removed previously separated the road from a small triangular shaped field. At its south end, but not in the field, there is a small nursery and at its north corner were some agricultural amenities. At least the damage has been done before most birds begin nesting although some disturbance might well have been caused to early nesters such as Robin, Dunnock and Blackbird that will have been quite active in the early spring. Update (May 2009): The hedge was removed so that a new entrance to the nursery could be made and the hedge was replanted on a new line giving a safer view of the road for those leaving the nursery.
