Almshouses built in 1909, west of the gates to Pickering Park on the north side of Hessle Road, Hull. An inscription above the central pair of doors to each block reads: "These almshouses were erected, endowed and presented to the Hull Corporation for the benefit of persons previously engaged in the fishing industry or such other deserving inmates as the Corporation may from time to time appoint by Christopher Pickering Esq. J.P. of this city."
