Concrete station lights on platform 1. The bridge seen in the background carries Church Street (B1157) over the railway line. Built in the E&M pavilion style, Sheringham railway station opened on 16th June 1887 and was extended in 1896. The exterior of the current station building looks similar to the extended station and the canopy > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1091377 has recently been restored in its original style. The station also houses a museum signal box (on platform 2) and a tea room and gift shop.
