The B2109 which links the A259 at Denton Corner to the A26 at South Heighton. The road is an old route being the ancient Lewes-Seaford road and was named Seaford Road until after World War Two. Originally the B2109 ran as far as the junction at Beddingham but the majority, except this small section, was upgraded to the A26 in the 1970s to get port traffic away onto the Lewes by-pass rather than attempt to drive through the narrow streets of Lewes. Taken from the junction with Denton Road.
