This is Path House in Pathhead, Kirkcaldy. The L-plan tower house was built in 1692 by John Watson of Burntisland for his bride. The property was sold in 1705 (citing financial difficulties) to the Oswalds (one of Kirkcaldy's important families) to become their main residence, before building a replacement house to the north of Kirkcaldy (Dunnikier) between 1791-1793. In 1971, Path House became a Category A listed building and has since been converted into a doctor's surgery.
