Built in 1807 and extended in 1866 and 1894. The modern office block beyond was erected on the site of another theatre that opened in 1892 on the site of a former music hall and spent most of its career as either a theatre or cinema along with numerous name changes, its last being Paris Theatre which was closed down in 1963 and demolished in 1967.
