The Pend in Osnaburg Street

The Pend is underneath the house with the reddish brown door at the north end of Osnaburg Street. A pend is an archway, and this one gives direct access from Osnaburg Street to the High Street at the Cross. Note the eighteenth century houses with external stairs to the upper flats.
