Dawlish Footpath 28, on the left, is an attractive little footpath, but it unhelpfully deposits the pedestrian on Higher Exeter Road, the B3192, a fast, narrow, busy road without pavements. The walker, who is rattling along at a furious pace, has wisely stayed on the lane. It still emerges onto the main road, but on a reasonably straight stretch.
