Opposite The Blake Pub is this corner building ... from the fancy scroll work above the door and windows this too may have been a pub. Image Image Update in September 2012 I have finally found an answer to the history of this building ... and seen a coloured photograph of it in the late 1970s ... when it was a Grocery Store and Off-Licence, owned by a family called Whitehouse, and, according to the Sheffield Forum, in the 1980s a family called Baron. In the photo the shop's woodwork is painted Red and White and the walls are not cemented over. There is a sign on the glass over the door which looks like Nut Brown and a large sign on the wall advertising Gunstones. Confusingly, it is unclear but look like the advertising is for Beer and not Bread.
