The sign reads "Declared redundant in 1970 this the ancient church of Wickham Bishops was leased in 1975 to the Friends of Friendless Churches, St. Ann's Vestry Hall, 2 Church Entry, London EC4V 5HB. Contributions for its upkeep will be gratefully received. Though no longer used for regular services it remains consecrated to the services of God. Please respect it accordingly."
